I have decided to go with Linsey as my model. Although he isnt the best walker. He will be at school so I can fit him when ever which is good as I am running out of time.

Mat - Fitting
This was my final fitting for Mats toil. Now that I have the fit right I will now add the details of panels and pockets to see if that changes the fitting at all.
Model 5 - Treva
Treva is my final model. Like Joel he is also unsure if he will be able to get work off. He said that he might be able to get work off by 3:30 but that might be too risky to get everything done. I think it might be the better option to find new models whilst its still early in the fitting stage.

Rain Coat
My feedback after toile review was to create another silhouette this could include a vest or something more experimental. I had played with some designs in my visual diary and I thought it would be good to create a rain coat. I find that there aren't many raincoats out their for adults let alone any trendy rain coats.
What I thought would be good was to create a see through rain coat so that you can still see the garments underneath. I wanted to stick with my colourway however, I am finding it hard to find colourful see through fabrics. I found some shower curtains with had my colourway in stripes but the material wasn't the best.
I then thought about maybe buying a inflatable chair and cutting it up for my patterns. After talking to my consumer I found that maybe the orange see through might not be that appealing and a clear plastic with colourful highlights like binding could look a lot better.

Perpetually Five was interviewed for the Canberra Times and the article was published in the Spring Style Magazine as seen below.
Model Casting
Kinetic Fashion Parade held a model casting event at Westfield Belconnen. A number of people showed up to the night and we had the models walk down and show us their stuff.
I ended up choosing the following 5 models.
However Model 1 and 2 below took a long time to get back to me so I have to look for 2 different models.

Interactive Clothing
I found this T-shirt online. I could not find who it was by but I did find a website where they give you step by step instructions on how to make one. It is a T-shirt with a car track on it designed so that an adult can lie down and the children can play cars on the back.
This is designed to be fun for the kids and give a massage for the adult. This is a simple yet great example of clothing designed for children to interact with.

Mambo Graphics
Mambo. It's fresh, colourful, ever changing and sometimes rude.
The founder of the label, Dare Jennings, commissions artists to do work to be reproduced on Mambo fabrics. The artists include a famous maker of ceramics and jewellery (Gerry Wedd), a pop star from the band Mental as Anything (Reg Mombassa) and a cartoonist (Matthew Martin). Their art features surreal suburban landscapes populated by vomiting dogs, horned bulls, boxy fibro houses and Australian insects such as Bogong moth
Their prints are iconic and very successful. Below are some examples of prints which I think are highly inspirational. They work very well as they represent the Mambo brand and can stand out in the crowd.

LONDON COLLECTIONS: Mens Fashion
Menswear in London has been going from strength to strength over the past few years and it is long overdue for the city to get a dedicated menswear weekend. Previously tacked on almost as an after thought to the Women's schedule and crammed into one single day, this season saw the three day-long London Collections eEn Lmake its debut. London has been long seen as a hot bed of talent, consistently producing forward-thinking pioneers. In the past these talents have had to eventually leave the city in order to further their career trajectory. The launch of LCM now allows them both the freedom and the profile to build their brand from the city they are based in, hopefully keeping them here and in turn placing London menswear on the same platform as Paris or Milan...

Parents Surveys
Survey
Perpetually Five surveyed young fathers
to find out what they look for in when it comes to clothing for both themselves
and their children.
The results:
The fathers surveyed had mix reviews on
the clothing they shop for. While some wanted cheap and trend based items
others looked for quality and something different.
Most of all the parents went for
something that was durable. Even though they would shop for something cheap and
easy they would also look for high quality garments that can be mixed and
matched.
Colour was important to the fathers
surveyed. Colours the child could relate to.
All parents shoped for their childrens
clothing. When buying something more expensive they looked for quality, well
made and versatile.

Hi, I am a CIT Bachelor of
Fashion design student researching what parents look for in clothing.
I am hoping to create clothing for parents designed around the idea that a child can interact with. The clothing would have to be fun, stylish and functional.
Do you have a spare minute to answer the following questions to help with my research?
What do you usually look for when you buy clothes?

Quality and something different.
Most parents go for cheap and quantity these days but if you have a good
quality garment that can be mixed and match I would prefer that - but that's
just me

Potential Consumers
The Tiny Sartorialist, Is a blog that was set up by two creative parents as an artistic way of sharing updates with family in a candid, street fashion style.
I believe that both the father and son would be interested in my products as they fit my consumer perfectly. Someone who cares about fashion, loves colour and is highly interactive father and son.

Observational Research - Adult
When I went to Monkey Mania to to my consumer research for children. I also did some observational research for the men who were there. Whether they were the fathers, carers friends etc. I found that a lot of the adult men dressed similar to the children. The quality of the garments were low to medium but seemed comfortable. Since they all dressed similar to the children it got me thinking is there a gap that the men can dress similar, trendy and have fun interactive clothing?
These were the results from my observation:
